Bulletin Announcement #3 – September 6/7

The Archdiocese of Dubuque is holding 34 regional informational sessions for parishioners to learn more about the Journey in Faith process. These sessions will further explain information that was released earlier this week at dbqjourneyinfaith.org. Participants will learn more about:

  • Rationale, process, and timeline for Journey in Faith
  • Importance of prayer and synodal listening in this process
  • Proposed pastorate models as possible new groupings of parishes for the future
  • Ways to listen, learn, ask questions and provide insights throughout the process including engaging in your parish’s October and November local meetings and providing written feedback via the Journey in Faith website


There are 34 September Regional Journey in Faith Information Sessions from which to choose. Each is held in a parish church and is scheduled for three hours. Parishioners should attend a meeting held in their Regional Planning Area (RPA). The overall information will be the same at each meeting, however, the proposed pastorate models that are explained will be specific to your RPA. (See RPA (v5) for your region.) If you are unable to attend a September regional meeting, you are urged to review all of the information on the website including videos, maps, and spreadsheets that was released on September 2nd. A summary video with key points from those meetings about prayer and synodal listening will be released at the end of September. 


What is the role of Journey in Faith Parish Team Members and who are they?

Journey in Faith Team Members are parishioners selected by the pastor/PLC to help facilitate the feedback process at the parish. Their role is to impartially record and submit the feedback of the parishioners at their parish meetings to the Journey in Faith Core Team. They are advocates for parishioners to be engaged in the process. Local Journey in Faith Team Members are NOT decision makers in this process. All decisions will ultimately be made by Archbishop Zinkula.


AT OUR PARISH the Team Members are Tiffany Houser, Kevin and Susie Davis, Carolyn Pfiffner, and Joe Reiter (who each represent Immaculate Conception), and Eileen Delagardelle, Nikki Schmit, and Deacon Kevin and Kristy Hagarty (who each represent St. Joseph). They will be facilitating our local parish meetings for IC and St. Joseph that will be held together at IC Church on Wednesday Oct. 8th from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday Nov. 12th from 6 to 9 p.m. We’re accommodating three hours for each parish meeting, but we hope that both meetings will not last that long. We thank them for their time and dedication for this very important work. 



PUBLIC OUTDOOR ROSARY RALLY

DATE:  Sunday, October 5, 2025

TIME:  11:00am (will start right after the 10am Mass)

PLACE:  Bosco System Plaza - north end of the plaza

Rain or Shine. There will be reserved parking for elderly person who want to participate from their cars. 

The rosary will be led by the Confirmation class students.
